The Mirror Spell is a spell given to Mariketa the Awaited by Nix. The spell when repeated three times into a mirror or reflective surface conjured a copy of Mariketa who would answer questions.
After a varying number of questions the copy would refuse to answer any more questions, ask Mariketa to come into the mirror (later revealed to be Mariketa's dimension) and offer her an apple.

The spell is the first verse of "The Witch in the Glass” by Sarah Morgan Bryan Piatt. The Poem inspired Kresley Cole to create the character of Mariketa.
